The Dragon and Flagon Tour
This is the Tour that began it all. I liked it so much I named my business after it. The Dragon and Flagon Pub Tour begins at Chancery Lane Tube Station. From there we discover the City within the City, that of the ancient square mile and its imposing Dragons. We begin at London's unofficial most-hidden pub and spot the remains of the cherry tree Queen Elizabeth I danced around. We walk through the heart of Legal London and of Dickensian London and to Templar Territory. The grisly stories of London's murky past are highlighted as we visit the pub that used to be the Bank of England, now restored to its Grade 1 listed status.
Into the Carmelite past we go and visit the 7 - floored inn mentioned by Yeats and Dickens (A tale of 2 Cities).
As evening falls and the dome of St. Pauls rises majestically, we discover the origins of the printing business and the hidden River Fleet .
Finally, we end at a site fundamental to English History and the finest Art Nouveau pub in the whole of London.
The Tour will end at St. Paul's Tube Station.
Tickets are £15 per person on a public Tour. Or have this Tour run privately (1-8 people-£100. 9+ people-£15 per person).
